Another Road Toon!

But this one was a little too close to home.
I heard a call come over the radio of a pontoon boat on it's side at XXth Street and ZZZZZZZ Ave. (Street names withheld to protect the innocent-ME!)
I thought: What the hell? I live on the corner of XXth Street and ZZZZZZZ Ave. and my pontoon boat is on the side of the house. It wasn't windy. It was parked level. Was someone trying to steal it and tipped it in the process of a swift get-away? All kinds of thoughts and scenarios were going through my head.
So I haul butt home and was relieved to see it was just some scrappers that dumped a POS old pontoon off the trailer in front of my house.

Looks like the starboard toon was full of water, made the turn, and the water shifted it off. Should have tied it down, AND used a transom saver!

that’s why I hate scissor lift trailers. The wheel base is too small for that monster don’t get me wrong they are a good trailer but I won’t own one. Bunks for me baby.

I like the v-shape on those pontoon tunes. They look like they could be precursors to the infamous Sylvan RPT tubes.

I own one, but I agree they are not good on the road. I use mine for storage and maintenance, moving the boat across the marina yard and back to the ramp, about 100 yards. Even then, its a bit stressful.

If you look closely at my well manicured front lawn, you'll see the nicest plot of grass in town.
Takes a lot of work to have a green yard out here in the desert. By the end of August, most yards are a combination of dirt and dead weeds. That is, for those who haven't said "screw it", and just lay down gravel and rocks.
