Pulled the boat yesterday, youngest son was available, had to pull it by 15 Oct.
anyhoo. What a great time we had with our toon. At least on the lake 1 day a
week. Now the fun begins, trying to get the lower unit back to Mercury black.
regards, old jim

We think we are done as of last weekend, however its supposed to be 80°f this weekend and my wife said after she runs the 5k in the morning she may want to head out and make one last go of it...

Hate to see your season end so early my friend... while the summers down here may be miserable, one advantage to living in the south is the extended boating season... I think we've got another 4 to 6 weeks before it will be too cool for my wife to go out...

I'm supposed to be out by Oct 31, but the new manager at the marina says they are flexible on that though. I have some mods planned for the Party Cruiser (under skinning the rest of the underside, extending the hard top to the stern like the newer PCs, have to have my canvas/mooring cover redone and my gimbal bearing was a bit noisy the last 2 trips out). Gimbal is probably going bad from the water in the bilge last year when my boat got damaged, so Boat US should cover that.
Also need to devise a carrier for that heavy ass plow anchor

Weather gods permitting, we should have at least another month of boatable weather here at Lake of the Ozarks. A lot of marinas will only be open on weekends, but with a 55 gallon tank we should be okay unless we go waaay down the lake.
If it's cool, but clear, we'll just bundle up, take some blankies and cruise around for a couple of hours.
All I'll have to do is add SeaFoam, run the motor for about 20 minutes or so and then I'm almost done. I'll disconnect the battery and hook it up to a trickle charger and wipe a tear from my eye because it'll be a couple of months before we can get her out again.

Yup getting cold here too. The pool is down to 84.
In a month or so I will have to winterize the boat (put a wind breaker on board for my wife)

Was beautiful here today. Just came in from checking the sunset out. Perfect time to boat the last few weeks. Since I sold the boat all I can do is look and wonder why nobody is out enjoying the lake. Guess a lot of the 4 stroker have winterized. First time I have been landlocked in a while.

We were scheduled to take our toon down to the river this week, but crap came up. Too hot where we boat during the summer, our season runs Sept. to june usually. Probably won't get it in till Nov. this year.

My boat is being pulled this week (by 10/5/2012). Have a new grand-daughter coming 10/3/2012 and won't be going down to beach for a while. Normally I leave it in until late Oct.
