I have seen that before

#1 Post by old jim » Thu Nov 15, 2012 7:18 pm

I have been changing oils and filters. Seeing as how I bought my boat used
this spring decided to give a look at the fuel line. BMR had a few pictures
posted of what I found, inside of hose was coming apart. New fuel hose and
and bulb, could not find any kind of plastic in line from male connector or
in the fuel filter ( replaced it anyway). Should I look further???
regards, old jim

Probably eaten up (dissolved) by the ethanol. Had the same problem with a 4 year old fuel hose on our rescue boats.

When I had this problem, I had to replace all the lines, fuel pump and carb. The yellow plastic was everywhere.
