GREAT DAY TO GO BOATING--BUT FOOTBALL COMES FIRST

My grandson and I have been riding on the river this afternoon. This was a glorious 70 degree December 1st day, and the waves were non-existent.
But in Alabama on a Fall Saturday afternoon, all fishing has been bypassed for watching the SEC Championship football game between Alabama and Georgia. The lake was very quiet.
Now, it's time to get back to the first quarter--tied at 0-0.

ROLL TIDE ROLL.... Even though I live in Louisiana, a state where Sabin is despised, I was rooting for Alabama. Kinda became a bama fan back when Gene Stallings was there.... and love him or hate him, no denying that Sabin is one heck of a coach.

Roland: Have you noticed the quality of the cheerleaders, majorettes and some of the girls in the stands at Alabama games? Tall, blonde and stunningly good looks. And, southern belles are hard to beat.
While I've never been an LSU fan, I can honestly say the ladies of Lousiana (outside of New Orleans) are some of the most stunning lookers anywhere. I worked in Louisiana for a couple of years, and absolutely loved the people of your fair state. They're highly spirited and quick to laugh.
And I kind'a like SEC football and many of the teams. When living in ATL, I never could get used to Atlanta TV giving 1/2 their time to SEC and 1/2 of their time to the ACC. And, I always pull for SEC teams--except for Tennessee. I especially dislike the color orange, and that damned song "Rocky Top." Sorry, guys.

rbiederwolf: Can you imagine going to a better party school than Florida?
With 50,000 students you have many beautiful women on campus. Football's great. Weather's great. You're 75 minutes from the beach. And beer's $2.50 per pitcher at off campus dives. What more could a college student want?
I just always wondered where University of Florida's students went on Spring Break? Chicago?
