I just purchased my new toon. The cover came with it. But if yours does not then that is a must. Keeping the sun and weather off the seats will make all the difference. I up graded to a GPS fish finder. Get a couple of rod holders, boat fenders, I didn't get the full under skin or the lifting stakes. Don't know if I will be sorry or not. It was another package and cost was another 3000.00 making another 30. Per month. Just didn't want the larger payment + would of been an increase in total price of 15% due to having to special order and the 2013 price increase. Extra tire and rim for trailer. I am sure there are other things o don't forget the e z fender holders they are great.

If you're going 90 hp or larger, you need the underskinning and strakes. And believe it when everyone says to get the biggest motor you can afford, as sometimes it's just not that expensive to go up a notch in horsepower. I'm a fan of 115 hp on twin toons and 150 hp on tritoons. Strakes are something best installed by the factory--even if you have to order a boat and wait 6-8 weeks.

You also need the factory cover.

Oh, don't forget to put ropes on all 4 corners before you put it in the water. And a bunch of cheap orange life preservers to satisfy the water patrol. We also have a second set of nice life preservers for the family.

I got a lowrance elite 5 sonar/GPS didn't mount in the dash. I had it mounted next to the windshield. Didn't want it in the dash in case I had problems later with it.

Did you have a look at Bentley? I have owned a few and have been very happy. Good bang for the buck...lots of "options" come standard. Made in SC.

Cheers,
Michael

I think you would be surprised by the number of options you really have once you look at negotiated price and not asking price. If you don't mind answering, what is your price range? We can give you alot better direction with a budget :biggrin2 and I am happy to help you spend your money :nana

Yea, let us spend your money. Length? Horsepower? Price? Trailer?

All the better brands of pontoons have their budget models that will compete with lesser quality competition boats.

My new Bennington 24' SSLX Express Package with the Yamaha 150 hp was substantially less than Suntracker's Regency tritoon with a Merc. 150 Fourstroke.

As the toons cut through water, it makes waves between the toons.

The waves will catch the crossmembers and slow you down. External waves can also splash up against the cross members when you run across them.

Sheeting makes the boat run quieter, smoother and possibly a little faster. The return is great for not that much work or materials.
