After a month of waiting finally got my new engine rigged and ready. So now my sig is actually a reality- a tritoon with a Yammy 150
Results gained about 10 mph. She now runs 38 mph at 5700 rpm(wot)
Using a Yamaha 15x15 aluminum prop.
I think the engine is a little low, and I may try a SS prop. We'll see...
Finally.....

Re: Finally.....
Glad you're up and running. I saw the Avalons at the boat show Thursday, and they're really nice boats.
My engine is mounted 3/4" above the lowest point. Of course, every hull's different.
You're not far off your max speed of probably 40 mph. The rpm's tell a story.
The question is whether your prop is doing any ventilation when the engine's level and going into a tight turn? When trimmed way up, you should have just a little ventilation.
