In the side panels of my new 'toon. Mounting a rod holder. Looks like I need a 1/4 inch or a bit less in diameter. I've had thin sheet metal tear when drilling into it. Anything I need to know, before I start? :?:

These are perfect for drilling sheet metal, especially thin aluminum

Is there a reason why you are mounting to the panel rather than the railing?

On mine I had the holders that bolted to the square rails. I didn't have to drill any holes and it let me move the rod holders to anywhere I wanted to move them. It's much better than drilling any holes. Mine came from Cabella's. $25 each

Thanks for the lead. I thought I had every tool in the World, and two of most of them. Never seen this drill before. I'm using the Cabela's mounts. On the starboard side, no problem - mounted it on the door. On port side, there is no door and no spot without the panel below the rail. Two holes is the only way I can think of to mount it.
