This is what I researched so far (from Crutchfield) I havent bought yet.
Kmr 350u with KFC1633MRW (PACKAGE RADIO W/2SPEAKERS) (will 2 more speaker total of 4)
KFC-W250MRW/ KAC-210210MR
Ok this is what all those numbers mean. Kenwood radio with all the bells and whistles front RGA jack, USB port and built in amp. with 2 6.5 inch speakers. Too whicjh I will 2 more.
Then for bass a 10inch sub woofer and amp. package also by Kenwood. All products are from there marine section all reviews are excellent to good.
Anybody got 2 cents? Ill give change thanks...

Sounds like it should rock. I didn't get that involved with mine. I found a 200 W head unit with a usb, SD and ipod jack and have 4 , 6in speakers.

You may want to consider one of these for your bass:

Great sound, amplified, compact, easy to install, etc.

You may need to upgrade the wires that run from your battery to your distribution panels. A lot of manufacturers will use approx. 18 ga. wires that can't supply enough power to run a decent stereo system.

Somebody needs to build a sound system rack with quick attach/detach bracket so high dollar sound system components can be removed in a minute and stored under lock and key.

I recently saw my OEM Bennington AM-FM/CD sound system at Best Buy on sale for $69. At least I don't have to worry about someone lifting my 12 watt powerhouse out of my boathouse when I'm not around.

I agree with the Heavy duty wiring, my Manitou's Sony X-plode would over heat the circuit breaker and kick out all the time when the volume was over 50%. I put in 12 gauge wiring and removed the circuit breaker, put in an inline fuse and no more problems!

Also agree with the security bracket, last year several stereos and amps were stolen from boats in the slips at our place at LotO. Mines right out in the open in the Premier. Has a removable faceplate, I remove and toss in the glove box. I worry about the damage they will do to the helm stealing it, more than I do the radios value. I'ld like to buy an Infinity Remote unit, and mount the main and amps under the helm, in the lockable compartment. Like Manitou does now. Nice set up!
