Prop Spun

What is a spun prop and does it happen often.What do you do if you are in the middle of the lake and this happens.

Put your spare on, the props have rubber inside them to keep shock from transferring to the engine, when it goes the prop will slip but I would think you would still have slow speed.

yes it does happen. Like Herb said you should be able to limp home at lower speeds.

mine went first time out last year in "new" toon. We had a little better than Idle speed after luckily it was just outside of no wake zone we hit it and spun it.

I replaced with one of these
http://boatpropellers.iboats.com/Evinru ... =162016911 its a two piece buy another and you can replace just the hub on next spin or just the prop if you ding a blade real bad. I haven't got my second one yet but will before summer.
