Hummingbird 587

Does anyone have any experience with the Hummingbird 587? BPS has it for $449 with color display, down image and gps capability. It is only 4.5 inch screen compared to 5 inch on the more expensive Hummingbirds. As always your comments are all appreciated.

I have been looking at 587 also,and the 597,cant decide which one i want

We just picked up the new elite 7 from lowarance for 599 with a 7" screen and hdi with down imaging with hybrid over lay, the same from humming bird was 1049.

I did get the 587 with down imaging. Local Bass fisherman wanted to upgrade to higher end unit with side scanning so I picked up a bargain at $300 for six month old unit. If I decide later that I want to upgrade I should be able to resell this one. Ram mount to attach to rail should be here this week.
