Passed through McAlester yesterday on the way home from Texas. Didn't feel like gettin' out on the lake weather to me!

I'm just hopeful this cold spell will be the last of the year. We're into March, and Mid America usually kicks their cold weather about then.

Sorry for the people in the far north that have to wait a little while longer to go to the lake.

I was out at the lake yesterday, it was 43 degrees and the waves were ferocious from a 20 mph wind. It was really pretty miserable.

Hope you have a great time Lake

Saw the weather report for Sunday on Saturday. Said it was going to be 85. Made plans to hit the water, checked the boat out, made sure the battery was charged, tires up, etc.

Woke up Sunday to rain, wind and 50 degree temps. :censored

Oh well. Maybe next week.

Loyd, have fun at Sardis - hopefully they have more water. Eufaula has come up some, but it is still quite low right now. I hope you have better luck catching anything at Sardis as well. I've tried the last 4-5 weekends on Eufaula and I catch 1 each day -- not enough to mess with getting the filet knife out so I just end up letting them go. The crappie should start spawning in the next 3-4 weeks so I'm hoping things pick up.

Had a great day although no fish. Got to learn all about new depth/gps finder. Sardis is very shallow and channels narrow. I followed the channel using GPS and had no issues. When we loaded to come home it was 80 in the sun,

Glad to hear the new depth/GPS unit worked well for you. I've got a buddy that has an older Lowrance GPS that he's going to let me have. I can't wait to actually know where the channel is instead of "hunting" for it using my depth gauge. And the channel markers aren't any help when the lake goes down -- they float out of the channel.

I was hoping you liked it as well as I like mine, even though I have only sat and slept on mine inside the fucking family room...and not on the water.
