Center pontoon leaking

I have developed a leak in my center pontoon. It has a ski locker that I doubt is air tight. Any suggestions on finding the location of the leak. No obvious dents are visible.

You get cracks around the mounting brackets that let water in the toon while under way, pressurize the toon with no more than 3 pounds, a shop vac on the blow side if enough, then get a spray bottle with a few drops of dish soap in the water and start spraying till you find the leak or leaks, then get them welded, you should still be under warranty, so it shouldn't cost you nothing, your dealer should fix it.

Premier has a lifetime warranty on the deck and logs, have it checked and fixed at the dealer.
and the PTX tubes are open at top the sealed part is below the Ski locker, and fuel tank.

So the center toon is sealed. I thought I wouldn't be able to pressurize it due to the ski storage and fuel tank. I'll try to pressure it this weekend. Would a leaf blower work? My shop vac doesnt blow.

The leaf blower should work.

I have a ptx that gets water in it as well. It took awhile to figure out, but it appears the seal around the ski locker is gone, or the lip of the plastic ski locker is warped, allowing water to get in when it splashes up to the top of the pontoon. Premier was great, they have offered to replace the ski locker, but it is a major fix - the center pontoon needs to be removed, and my boat is an i/o, so the engine has to be removed. For now I have chosen to not do the fix, I just tip the boat up on the trailer and open the 2 drain plugs a few times a year. The most I got out was about 7 gallons once.

The ski locker on ours is isolated from the rest of the tube by welded bulkheads. It gets water in it all the time from, I suppose splashing while under way and rain getting on deck and running into from top. It has a pump that I only connect when needed since I've caught it stuck running with dead battery when the switch was left on. I also noticed electrolysis inside the locker - thought it might be from the pump have electrical leakage to ground - that's why I know kill the juice to it. I have to run it to drain the locker about once a month.

That's how the South Bays are as well. If it has a bilge pump in it I would think there is an access panel some where in the well...

Or, skip the whole finding the leak thing and just take it to your dealer straight away since it's under warranty. They may say the soapy water you sprayed on the toon voids the warranty. I think they call that a "Royal Manitou'ing". :biggrin2 :biggrin2 :alright :alright . Ok, ok, before I get flamed, IT WAS JUST A JOKE!!!
