We've received a few feet of new snow in the last week or so, but we need a LOT MORE!

No snow = no water in the lakes, come Summer, so BRING IT ON!!!

No snow = no water
No water = no hay and no wheat
No hay = rising beef and commodity prices

I saw an article online yesterday about all the states in terrible droughts. I really didn't think about Colorado and Wyoming being so parched. I know Texas hasn't had but one rainy year in the last 6 years.

Yeah, there's a REASON we're having record-breaking fires every year, and the fire season has already started here.

It's about 20 degrees below the average with light flurries right now.

North Texas needs a rain bad. Texoma is still 7 ft low.

Going snowmobiling tomorrow and then the next day a tour of the Avalon pontoon boat factory, to try and finalize a decision of what boat to get. I am way over thinking this one for sure. May have to flip a coin! G-3 Suncatcher or Avalon???

We still have about 3 plus feet of snow on the ground. Last year to the day we put our dock in and it was over 70 degrees!!! This is more normal for this part of the country, which is the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. You are right on, more snow in winter makes deeper lakes in the the summer.

Don't take this wrong gentlemen, but the more snow you get up north, the more water we get in Florida, so Snow like a Bit#$ .

Snow in GA, in late March pisses me off though . It's been colder on average this month than January. We have finally broken the drought, have the lake to within 2 feet of full and we are on our second day of flurries. Global warming my arse!

Got 7" worth on Sun...don't mind...Illinois River has been low for a yr or 2 and now it's got some water from a coupla weeks ago and it's looking good here soon as this shit melts....

We ended up getting 1 /12 inch then turned to rain and it melted. It's very unusual to be this cold here in March. Highs in the low 40s when it's usually near 60 by now. Have more water than we need, yard is muddy as hell.

My wife and I drove up to Branson for a long weekend and after we got there, started hearing weather forecasts of 2 to 5 inches of snow.... now having grown up in the mid west, I wasn't worried about the snow, but if you've ever been to Branson, you know there isn't a flat road in that town.... everything is on a hill, show theaters, restaurants, all the hotels... so I was a bit worried about the roads icing up.... FORTUNATELY the whole dam thing missed us... no snow at all, but man was it cold... 25 degrees... but what made that bad was the 25 to 30 mph winds........ I've been in Louisiana a long time..... not used the cold anymore......

You can have the snow -- I prefer the liquid version of just rain. We've been getting some much needed stuff too. Eufaula is finally coming up some - one of the floats on the walkway to our dock had been high and dry and its finally floating again. It's also helping with the fish -- the crappie are starting to come in to the shallows to start spawning (I caught 9 nice ones last weekend and half of them were full of eggs). We are expecting more rain over the next couple of days and another round coming in next week. This will make boating this summer a little safer if I get out of the channel.

BobG - let's hope for a wet April (chilly I guess too) to get more snow up in the mountains. I'm hoping Chatfield will be able to maintain good levels all year, but given they are already draining Antero (and drained a coupe other reservoirs last summer) I'm concerned how things will hold up this year.

Things are a little better after the last week, but boy, Beaver Creek's ski runs were already getting mighty thin a couple weeks ago.
