are there any aftermarket companies selling high end seating, something like in Bennys, South Bay, Playcraft, etc..? i have a set from pontoon stuff that is nice but very cookie cutter, would love to get more fancy for my next rebuild.

That's what I'll be using when I replace my rear L seat. They also have the large radius corner seats to fit the newer style fences.

Tons of color choices, free samples as well.

I believe Veada makes seats for Bennington.

I felt the same way after rebuilding my first toon using PS seats. The 2nd toon rebuild I did I had the original seats redone. I wanted the seats to fit the radius of the fencing perfectly. Its definitely more expensive but the finish product is WAY better. I was able to buy the best vinyl and in the exact colors I wanted.

I used Veada's BEST seats for my re-build. They are JUNK - the vinyl is paper thin and rips easily - although they are fairly comfortable.

I got mine at a significant discount since they were a discontinued style - and therefore fairly pleased with the pricing - but I would NEVER buy them again.

The only material I would ever consider again for boat seating is an outdoor rated polyurethane - it is expensive but will wear like iron, is much cooler in sun and can be as soft as Napa leather. It also comes in dozens of beautiful colors. You will pay a serious premium for it - but if you keep your boat for a long time it is worth it. The Ultraleather brand is sublime, although there are knock offs... buyer beware.

MY neighbor outfitted his with Regatta from Veada and they looked pretty great to me. Nothing felt thin at all, but that's just my opinion.

Bennington seating is built by Lexington Seating in Elkhart, not Veada, they manufactured the the old seating line that RestorePontoon.com used to carry before they gave up on it and switched to Wise furniture, which is at a better price point but is a crappier build quality. I personally did all the R+D for the aftermarket line initially launched by RestorePontoon.com when they were owned by Scope Technologies way back when. (several acquisitions for both Scope and Restore since then)

Our store will be carrying this line again in the next few weeks if you are looking for higher quality.

From all the aftermarket pontoon seats I've seen veada is the top dog. I have seen the seats that are mentioned above! I love the fact that with veada you can customize your own colors, if you wanted orange seats with a pink stripe no problem just order it! I have wise classic series seats from pontoonstuff and I hate them, they aren't very comfy and I've already had to replace a couple because of fading, I'm acutely waiting on a 55" bench seat cushion to come in now from a warranty claim (stitching tore). I'm going with veada from now on unless someone else makes something better!

It's one of those "apples to apples' things...Veada makes OEM seating, and they are also one of the few OEM suppliers that will sell to the public as well. There are other manufactures out there that will build you the custom colors you want (maybe even the sizes), but they also operate on a "built-to-order" status, and ship by truck freight only (more $$). When you buy WISE or any of the other pre-made seats available, you are going to get standard sizing (so it can ship ground) and some-what standard colors (so it can be pre-made). Obviously quality will vary by manufacture, and most have a low and a high line. I guess that old saying kind of comes it not play here...Fast, Cheap, Quality...you can only have 2 :lol3

When I rebuilt my 84 JC pontoon I used ALL Veada seating & have been very pleased with it. It's held up very well so far.

I'm really happy with my american soft trim seats. They are the retail side of apex marine. They build pontoons and have their own in house upholstery shop for the seating. They will build custom stuff and I have talked to them about the new big radius benches they use on thier boats. The problem with those is that they make them for their fence so they will not necessarily match the radius of other fences. For custom stuff it's probably easiest to visit in person. Thats what I did and got a tour and was told anything in here is for sale . I got my deack hardware , seats, and their production graphics from them. They have way more stuff then is on their web site. My seats are good as new with no issues after three years. They gave me a 303 cleaning kit when I got them and have been using that stuff since. Their plastic bases are not rotomold ,they are built out of sheet similar to plywood construction. They have tons of color combos and the bases come wrapped to match. I can tell you that shipping is freight or customer pickup and this time of year your going to have a 2 month wait atleast.
