Not sure how its going to work but my boat actually has a spot for a fishing seat or BBQ on the back my idea is to take one of the snap in things that go on the bottom of the seats and put it on a nice tall poll possibly just PVC and then attach my flag, sorry to hijack your post with my own idea/question but if any one thinks its a good or bad idea I'm listening

I plan on making my own, using PVC, making a set up similar to rod holders. I think they will give more flexibility in the wind, and I can install and remove them as I need.

My toon has the front fishing chairs, with the nice pole type mounts. We don't normally use those seats, and can't use them underway. So, I bought a nice flag pole set with a 5 foot wooden pole, and I just sanded the bottom 3" down so that it fit perfectly into the pole for the seats. This works very well for us.

I went to Academy sports (Overtons, West Marine, Bass Pro all have them) and bought a flag/mount that fits into the rear stern light port for most boats with removable lights. It has two slide brackets with connectors that can be unscrewed. Took that off, attached to permanent light on bimini top, easy 1 minute installation. Permanent and also easy to put bimini cover on/off when necessary. I'll post pics the next time I'm out.

Hi went real hi-tech redneck for our flag mounts. I used 4 zip-ties on the back bimini post. I put 2 zip-ties on the post. Then I used the other 2 zip-ties to loop under the zip-ties on the post and then through the grommets on the flags. This allows the flags to "wave" in the breeze. I can get pictures if anyone wants to try this hi-tech approach

I did mine by using snaps on the bimini frame. The U.S. is starboard and the Texas & Dallas Pokes is on the port side.
I put the snaps at the red dot locations.
