I'm looking for a yard flag pole with a real light

Maybe one of you fine members has seen what I'm looking for. At my cottage there is a 2x6 with flood lights & switch nailed to the side of a tree. This lights up my yard & dock. Works great, looks redneck. Wife wants a flagpole so I'm hoping I can combine the pole & light. All I've been able to find online are cheap LED lights for illuminating the flag--but have no range beyond. Ideally the light should sit on top of the pole so it doesn't interfere with the flag & rope.

Has anyone seen such a thing?

I've had one from Uncommon USA at my lake house for many years and it has held up to just about everything. It's mounted at the end of my dock and is easy up and easy down since it telescopes.

They have a solar light option that goes at the top of it, so no power needed.

Will it light up your yard?

Not really, it's for a good sized flag.

Maybe you need something like these, but they're VERY expensive.

Call your power co and have them install a mercury vapor pole light. That is best bang for the buck and only cost a few bucks a month to run

I have two 12 volt mr16 9 watt LED spotlights that light my flag pole and pretty much all the trees nearby. They are unbelievably bright. I got the bulbs off ebay and they fit my low voltage system. Mine are mounted on the ground though.

I want an ordinary downlight for the yard. About as bright as a 60 watt incan. bulb.

My 9 watt leds are each brighter than a 60 watt incandescent bulb. You would just need to figure how to mount it to the pole. This is what my holder looks like. Image

I also have the Uncommon telescoping flag pole (25') and the solar light. The light is designed to shine on the flag from above and does a pretty good job. It will not light up your yard; it does provide some light around and below the flag pole.
If you get their pole, make sure you install the pvc sleeve according to their instructions. Installed properly, the pole will withstand winds up to 80 mph.
They do stand behind their products. My solar light shot craps after less than a year. They sent me a new one to replace the bad one.
I like the telescoping pole. There are no lines to slap against the pole in high winds.

I visited American Flag and Banner--a retail store selling nothing but flags, poles and such. The owner said he's never seen anything that sits on top of the pole other than the dim solar LED lights that are intended to only light up the flag.

So--on to Plan B which is to find a suitable post top light fixture and install it on a home-made flagpole.

I hope there isn't an unknown-to-me reason why flag poles and light poles are never combined.

If I had the right place I think this would be a cool way to display a flag....
