Hi again, I guess the only time I post is to ask questions. Although I can't think of a better place to get information. I've been working on my boat since the week before Memorial Day, and have almost finished. I have a '93 Johnson 48hp Special, with the tilt adjust, which locked up on me the first trial run. I have purchased a used power tilt system that is supposed to be for that model, everything seems to be in very good condition, and I had some check to see if it worked, and it does, at least that's what I was told, my only problem is how to wire it up to the boat. I've taken a picture of what I have, and labeled each wire with a number. If someone can explain how to install the wiring and where each wire should go, I could at least try to use it this Holiday. I have purchased a starter selenoid which I was told I needed, and I also have a power tilt switch on my remote control handle, and just to be sure, I bought a dash mounted trim switch. I will attempt to attach the picture. And hope someone can walk me through it. Please forgive the lousy pictures, Jordeli

The rotary switch is either a tilt limit switch or hooks to a tilt level gauge. the limit switch cuts the trim motor off at a setting of your choice to keep the motor from coming out of the water or just to allow an amount of trim. In this case you have to have another switch to bypass this part so you can raise it on up when trailering your boat.
The two black wires are up and down and should be connected to individual relays (solenoids) with the switch on the shifter. The other two ....well.....a little blurry on my screen (it's old like me), One of those has to be a ground for the trim motor.
