Thrust washer x2

I have a "friend" that might of left the old thrust washer on when I replaced the old prop with a new Merc prop. Could this show signs of a spun prop bushing? When my "friend" applied the gas slowly, my boat got up to speed normally. When "my friend" punched it, it seemed to jump RPM's then gradually sped up. I removed the extra washer, and am planning to go out again on Sat. to test. Do you think I boogered any thing up with the new prop? :prayer I hope not.

After changing the impeller and installing the prop the correct way, everything worked as it should. I guess doing things the correct way is a good thing. :donno

The extra washer was allowing exhaust to cause cavitation.
