Pull Behind Tubes (suggestions)

Well now that we'll be getting our boat, finally, its time to look for some toys and accessories, lol. So we're looking for a tube. I've got a pair of water skis, and we still have our old Big Bertha, but that just seems to sit up way too high. When you're riding on it it seems like it can flip at anytime. I've got one 13 year old son with a ton of buddies that I'm sure we'll be towing. I have a friend that said he had one a few years back that would actually get some good air off of the wake. Which is what my boy wants, of course, lol. But he can't remember what it was called. We'd like to get at least a two rider, but would rather it be a three or four. So any ideas you can throw my way is really appreciated. Thanks.

Sorry, I can't help you on the 2-rider tube. But I can absolutely recommend getting a Hydroslide Powerball. It keeps the tow rope out of the water allowing you to sling the riders outside easier. It also helps keep the spray from the tow rope out of the riders' eyes.

We bought the XPS Mach III from Bass Pro Shop. My kids seem to like it and it even held up fine when pulling a buddy around. He weighs a little over 300lbs. It's a three person "tube" in which two people sit down "in" it and the third rides on their stomach in the middle. It's got a low profile in the water and I imagine you could probably get it out of the water with only one rider on it if you were able to get just a little air under it.

We have had several different tubes, I recommend using a Sportsstuff booster ball with most tubes to get the best whips out of the wake. Big Bertha is pretty good if you ride it alone and squat in the center. But the one that seems to be the all out favorite is the Chariot Warbird, it is available in 2 and 3 rider versions, we have the 2 rider, it is super stable. and really whips out of the wake well. I know we have some pics of it but I cant find em right now, will add them later when I find em.
OK found a few, here they are!

And yes we have used it with 3 people on the 2 person version

We mostly use the Super Mabel. Three rider (one or two can also ride) sitting with a back rest, can also be pulled backwards like a chariot with the riders kneeling. With three 12 year old girls on it I had it 5 feet out of the water Friday. Jumping wakes can be a blast. It moves very easily in and out of the wake and skids over the water very well. I've been able to dump adults off of it and can pretty much tailor the wildness of the ride to the taste of the rider.

We also use a Sportsstuff Slalom jockey Duo. This is a one or two rider steerable tube. The tow point is somewhat in the middle so the entire tube can rotate. I've had people going backwards and one person manage a 360 on it. The rider steers by leaning the direction they want to go. While most tubes need the boat to do a little turning to get them out of the wake, this one works well with a straight tow path. The rider chooses where he wants to go. Normally rode kneeling. Lots of fun. Again this one jumps wakes really well.

We've also used a papparrazi. Three rider. Either all laying down or two laying and one kneeling behind them. (Two kneeling will tip it over). The kids have had a lot of fun on this one too. Weight distribution is important though as teh tube will rock from side to side and if you put a heavy person on one side the tube will stay that side low.

I can't really say which one they've preferred as they seem to love all of them.

I've not done the booster ball as my tow point is pretty high. Rope is usually out of the water.

One major key for my liking is the booster ball seems like alot of money usually right around a 100 bucks but I can't believe the difference and I wish I hadn't put it off, if you know someone with one don't be shy ask to tty itin my opinion its a game changer.

On the tube itself I like reversible pull em one way its like sitting on the couch wiyh a back and arm rest spin it around and iys a chariot you can rode on your knees or for the real adventurous they usually have a handle to stand up when riding in the chariot way I have sportcraft but that's a personal preference (actually truth is they were on sale) but I don't think brand is as important as yhe versatility these chatriots come single rider all the way to 4 riders, and my single riders actually have a removable bimini sun cover for when you just wana float

WE have the Sports Stuff 2 person Slalom which is GREAT behind the pontoon since its steerable. The Pontoon doesn't need to attempt to do crazy maneuvers for a thrill ride as the rider(s) can steer the tube on their own!
