Soath Bay Cover dust

Every time we pull the cover off, everything is filthy with light colored dust. If you make the mistake
of wearing dark tank or tee, it will be filthy by the time you get the cover folded back and stowed.
WTH? I don't remember this problem in the driveway. This is the first season leaving in the water. Or
that doesn't matter, it just turned 1yr in May.
Anybody else have this? It's a tan cover from whoever Forest River uses, if color matters.
I'll try to get a couple if pics if that will help.

Seriously though do you live in a dry windy area? They do a good job at keeping most stuff out but not all.

Mine gets full of pollen when in the slip, Its so damn fine it gets in through every vent and top support bracket hole. If it cleans off and is greenish brown, chances are...its pollen! And yep, it sux...

Never had that problem and I live in Sand Springs Ok. Lots of wind, dust etc. The secret to this is to make sure you pull the strings around the bimini brackets and tie them as tight as possible.

I find it sort of odd. I cant speak for all of the cover makers but my sumbrella one has the color blended into the fibers befor its made so their is noting to fall off of it. but is its a canvas yes it will shed fibers.

Bryden, yes I think it's pollen. But ours came I think from driveway in backyard, during spring pollen season. We didn't get the boat in the slip permanent until July. Ours is yellowish. We are in heavy virgin woods. I think it impregnated, and finally worked it's way through the fabric. I had it off in the front drive and swept/blew each side about 3 times before I could see no more dust coming off.
99% of problem now gone.
Cycleman, how's that run? I'm kicking myself for not getting the 150 instead of 115 to save a few bucks.

Virgins make pollen????

At least it's not spider droppings. Pollen will hose off easily. I found the Mr. Clean Magic Sponge is truly magical when cleaning the boat last night.

Tomorrow, we're making slipcovers out of Sunbrella fabric tomorrow for all our seats and the sun bed in the rear. We're going to hold them on with velcro.

We save the OEM mooring cover for winter. It's such a pain to deal with, and it takes the grip and strength of a very strong man to get it on and snapped down.

With our regular load 4 adults, half tank of fuel it will run 36 GPS. Im kicking myself for not getting the trifecta (triple tube) package and a 200+. You can never have too much power in my opinion. I will say that the Hole Shot the boat gets is impressive. Ive even pulled a wake boarder weighing 200 lbs.
