..............................and it wasn't at me!!?? :biggrin2 We were at our favorite lake just cruising and of course the boys wanted to go to one of the local swim areas (I bought a boat so I could hang out somewhere I can drive a car :donno ). Anyway, we parked over to the side of the swim area and walked over to let the boys play. I put out two anchors and left the boat off shore a bit to avoid banging the pontoons on the bottom (rocky). We were minding our own business playing with the boys when we hear this teenage boy and girl talking. He sees our boat floating offshore and says to her, "Hey look. That boat is floating away. STUPID people!" My wife looks at our boat and then turns around to him and says, "Oh. I think it's secured just fine." They had no idea it was our boat. It freaked him out having her respond so quickly and he said, "Oh. Is it tied to the bottom?" I had to throw my 2 cents in and said, "Yes. I swam down and tied it to the bottom." He didn't have much to say after proving to everyone how STUPID he was. I did hear his little girlfriend tell him a little while later that we had two anchors out and the boat wasn't moving. :smoke My wife was pretty pissy that day, so the little punk is lucky she didn't outright embarrass him :box

Depends one whether you're tying it to a rock or tying it to mud. Figuring out the mud knot is tricky :paranoid :coffee

The standard triple bolin on a bight with four hitching loops with a gravel bend and a counter twist is the best sand knot I've found.
