Got the engine out for storage

Pulled the engine today. Figured I could give everything a once over. The steering needs to be tightend up, and I hit a wave 2 weeks ago, and the boat came all the way out of the water. It was cool, but also, it caved in the rear of the center toon. I have a welding shop that is going to repair it, and make it stronger. JT

That's too bad about the stuctural problem. I thought you were going to tell us you were going to be hopping up your engine--or putting a supercharger on it.

Ha. I beat you to it by a couple of weeks, except for the airborne part

Of course, I had to hustle...it's already snowed a couple of times, crud.
I gots big plans for that little hunk of steel. Updates in my build thread ummm...sometime....super busy right now.
Sorry 'bout the damage, although it sounds like you at least were having fun in the process

how fast did you get it going this year?

Not nearly fast enough. I wasn't too concerned with propping all summer. Too busy relaxing and finishing up building the dang thingy, so I ran the WAY wrong prop all summer and didn't stray too far..
Next year will be time to dial it in. Still no speed demon, but I should be in the upper 30's which ain't bad for a houseboat

The new trial prop for my increased hp (ahem) in the spring is a PowerTech OFS 16p stainless 4 blade which will be very close. How did you make out this summer?

Sorry mate
That's one of my top secret mods. Shhhh. Gonna convert to Multiport (amongst other things). The Rochester Quadrajunk 4 barrel is headed for the trash can! Researching heavily at the moment. AFI, FAST and others. If you have any info in this area, let me know. Thx
