Well, brought the boat home a couple days ago and unloaded her. Got the carpets steam cleaned, cleaned and 303'd the seats and other plastic components, unloaded, cleaned and stowed all the gear in the garage. Now she's ready for shrink wrapping Tuesday and log power washing as well.
On the plus side, the first ski resort opened last week, time to bust out the ski gear and get it all ready.

I'd say your rubbing it in, but we've got some snow on the way tonight and I'm ready for ski season! And a neighbor has a small boat we'll still take fishing for another month or so. So I can still get a boating fix for a little longer!

The snow has arrived here already.
Saturday was spent cleaning the carpet, emptying all the storage areas and getting the boat to the dealers for a couple of days inside to fully dry before it gets winterised and shrink wrapped.

Brought the boat home today and put in building. Clean up and protectant on seats over next few days. Kind of a bummer to see end of season.

We're not seeing any trees and forest undergrowth turning to their Fall colors yet. Usually, we're a week away from leaf watching. May be the heavy rains of Summer are causing the trees to be slow turning.
And leaf watching from the water is tough to beat. We still have a few boat rides left in us for the early Winter. I was out on the Waverunner last week, but it was sure quiet out on the water.

Just dropped the boat at the local shop to be winterized and wrapped. our lake has been pretty quiet for the last couple weeks. Folks started yanking their boats from the slips at the end of Sept.
I see myself on the neighbors fishing boat this weekend as the weather forecast looks nice.

Yep, mine is ready to go, too. In more ways than one. I'm lookin at selling it and getting back into racing. So, keep your eyeballs on the For Sale section! Just need to make a final decision. If it goes, the business will, too.

Mainly Poker Runs. I miss the roar of the big blocks. It will be a few years before I do it. We are seeing so much overtime at work, that I have no time to use the pontoon now and for the next 3 or 4 years, until we get the new hires fully trained. THEN WE SHOULD SEE SOME RELIEF??? (I hope) If I sell the boat now, I can bank the money and keep adding to it until I'm ready. I barely have enough time to keep up with my EzFender business, with all the time I'm spending at the plant.
Also we may be expecting a new baby..... either a 1971 GTX or a 66 Fairlane GT and a 38X54 outbuilding with shop to house it and the future boat.
So, lots of thinking to get through for the next few months. Heading to Key West in a few weeks for the National Off Shore Races, that will weigh a lot on my decision. I should probably NOT go.....
I'll sure keep you posted!

But I'm on a roll! I always think of that movie scene when someone says it is over when I don't want it to be.
