Yeah, somebody posted this earlier in the summer. I just don't get it. It's already on a trailer; why add to the load of the truck as well as increased wind loading.

Re: Take it with you!
You have to figure they are full timers, living in the campers full time or at least a good part of the year, so you have to take it with you or not have it.
Mom and Dad did that for 12 years and I was there storage center, I kept all the Christmas stuff and anything else they couldn't take with them, but used when they were in State for the cold months, till they took a trip to Alaska they pulled Mom's full size Caddy behind the bus.

Re: Take it with you!
I have never asked or have looked at the hub-o-meter in a long time, but they covered 48 states, with the lot they bought in Fla they got to stay in a great bunch of RV parks across the USA for free if they stayed a week and two weeks at the max before you have to move during busy times.
So they explored a lot of the USA and didn't have to hurry, Dad is still using it and I got to spend a few days in last year when I got out of hospital in W Va after my lung collapsed on vacation.
It a piece of cake to drive now that he went from an 8 cylinder with a 10 speed transmission to a four cylinder six speed auto with more power, with cruise control and three stage retarders you can leave your feet flat on the floor and never touch the fuel or the brakes for hundreds of miles.
But I'll ask Dad next time I talk to him the miles on it.
