One Option You Wish You Sprung For?

My wife and I are dizzy looking at so many options and floor plans from every brand out there. Recently we made a list of things we want and things we need. Surprisingly they were similar which will make the purchase that much easier.

What are some options that you wish you sprung for?

bigger motor is the one most mentioned I think,
and longer is the other one, I have a 20', I think 22-25 would have been better

We like the rear entry option in addition to the side option (keep your mind out of the gutter). An extra deep ladder is always appreciated by anyone over 40 years old.

I'm thinking it would have been nice if you'd published your list. We'd then know what kind of setup you're gravitating towards and be in a better position to suggest what may be lacking or even missing.

We upgraded and add options like crazy, but had to leave a couple off as we got above our initial price point. Two items I wish we would have sprung for are

- the larger PTX package premier offers - 36" over the 30" one we have
- upgrade the stereo one or two levels.

The stereo we have gets the job done and I don't want my music blasting all over the lake, but a couple more speakers on the boat wouldn't be bad in hindsight.

Overall, for how we use our boat and what we wanted to fact that those are the two things I sometimes wouldn't mind having I think we did pretty good for our first boat.

I wish I had added the 2nd bimini and the Admiral wanted more HP.
The 2nd bimini was about $1,300 IIRC and the larger motor would have jacked up the price at least $5 grand or so.
She wanted the top speed to mimic our Four Winns and to get 53 mph out of the Benni, I think we would have needed another 75 hp, so the $5k wouldn't have covered it.
BTW, the boat does 41 gps with a half-tank and just the two of us on board--good enoough for me.

at purchase time, having a 3rd log, with lifting strakes would have been my biggest option i wish id sprung for.

everything else can be added later... even a vinyl floor, double electric bimini, etc, etc, etc......

Without question we will publish it. But by not doing so at the front, we get to hear from people unbiased from seeing our list.

I ended up ordering a second bimini after purchase....should have done it with the original deal. I also wish I would have negotiated a camper enclosure in the deal...

I did get a Verado 150 and would not want anything smaller for my 25 foot Tritoon...

i would think in terms of things that would be difficult or impossible to upgrade later. for my premier, it would be a double bimini +/- the full enclosure. much easier to get when ordering new, vs. trying to get one used that matches up with the factory setup. this would probably to along with the 36" vs 30" PTX package mentioned above. more HP is probably on that list. things like stereo, led lights, etc, can easily be upgraded later and hence paid for later.

I agree with the posts that advise to look at stuff that would be difficult to add on later.

Bigger / more tubes and strakes would be difficult later.
Motor, not difficult, just more expensive.
Ski-tow bar is hard to find.

Most other things can somewhat easily be added later on.

I have a double Bimini. Seeing how much it's used, if I didn't have it originally, I would have added it for sure. You can never have too much motor either, IMO.
