Left hand rear chamber has water sloshing around. Not a lot but enough to be irritating. The tank has a 1/4 inch port in the center. Need to get the water to one end or the other to pump out. Is it possible to drill another hole on top near the rear to facilitate water removal? I don't find any cracks or other ways the water entered but need to get it out.

If I drill a hole in the top, what is the best way to seal it back up? Any and all ideas are appreciated. Along with any problems I may encounter.

Have a competent welder install a removable plug in the rear of the tube. You should also pressure test with no more than 3psi and check for cracks with soapy water. Do the leak test first so the welder can fix it at the same time. Do not use any goo to fix it such as jbweld etc.

Hmmmm competent welder. That may be an Oxymoron around here. But, I was afraid that was the answer I was going to get. Thanks..

I have a very small leak in my nose cone. I check on having it repaired and decided to drill a 1/8" hole in bottom of log and install a SS screw with rubber washer. Been using this for 4 years now. I change rubber each spring. So you might try that. Getting a line in that small plug opening will be near impossible. Plastic tubing seems to want to coil back up and having no room above your screwed using that hole.

Think I'll pressure it up and check it for cracks before making any rash decisions. May drill a hole in the top and use a self tapping oil pan plug. Just depends on what the pressure test shows...
