I can buy the Honda repair manual for 114 bucks off amazon, or I can buy a CD pdf manual from ebay for about 9 bucks and shipping. It is an aftermarket manual, but might be all I need? Anybody recommend one or the other? I am thinking cheap on this one.

I was lucky enough to find a free pdf for my 20 year old merc. 225 pages! Man did it save me some coin last year! Go with the cheap one. I found some links for free downloads for your honda but didn't check them out.... I'll let you take that chance!

That would be great Carl. I already have the owners service manual from a free download, but I also want the repair manual if that's what you have.

I bought the factory manual off Amazon several months ago. If you buy it you will get updates directly from Honda. I've already got several in the last three months.
Don't cheap out now.... This isn't a Bayliner that you own. Its a frigging Honda. You went first class when you bought it....Continue to do so.

You might want to check out the Honda Owners Forum,
http://www.marineengine.com/boat-forum/ ... oard-Forum. There are many folks on that site with tons of Honda outboard experience.
Most will tell you to get the Helm manual, as it seems to be the most accurate and comprehensive. I have one for my BF150, and it's a great tool, although more expensive than most.
