Is it me , or does 2000 sound high for a Bimini Top ? Yeah it is complete with frame and hardware but damn , thats not much aluminum.

2000.00 man I have been looking on line for a enclosure for mine. One company will make a 1/2 enclosure with the top and frame for 2500.00. So 2000.00 that is a lot.

Thats what I thought since an online search finds them from 4-800 .Guess Im at the mercy of SB if I want to match the rear. But for 2000 Ill buy some better sunscreen.

What size is it ??? You can get a 10' Electric powered for $999.00

Yeah but an aftermarket Bimini won't have SouthBay stamped on its cover....hahahaha

That's seems weird because it was only a $1200 adder at the dealer.

Well it was only 2168 installed

Last month, I payed $3,200 for a Day Enclosure (1/2) from Premier. Comprised of a new Bimini (with zippers) and screened side windows with velcro attaching isinglass. The dealer claims that he got me a discount! I installed it my self.... the crew helped.

I only payed 1100 for a double Bimini last year at Overtons.

I was recently quoted $1,425 for a factory South Bay mooring cover. I would think a bimini would be much less than that.

So would I . I will call a different dealer and see what they quote . May be a big dealer markup at the first place , but you never know. And this is not with the new back fabric that zip together like if you order when new. I would just be adding a second top to the front .

You may find prices and maybe even better quality here Northstar Products. I've read several good reviews on them from several satisfied customers including some that were posted here on the Forum. In a quick look it appears you may be able to purchase a complete new top with frames for less than some of the prices posted as of yet, anyway.

I wanted a double (24') bimini, so I sold my original back half for $250 and paid a little over $1000 for the new double. I bought it from Northstar and couldn't be happier- it is Sunbrella and well made. Late last year I lost the 3' piece that connects the front and back bimini sections. I called Northstar and they sent me a new one for $69 including shipping. Good company and great prices.

I'm not sure if they offered the zip together option or not. The front frame would need to be approx. 3" taller because every Forest River product I've seen has risers built in to the rear fencing.
