Check your trailer brakes before the season starts! update.

A couple weeks ago I posted about the brakes on my brothers trailer. Initially we found a brake line that had a hole from rubbing against the brake drum. To date: Both grease seals on the left side had blown from over greasing and the brake drum was full of grease...new bearings and seals on that side now. We didn't pull the dust cap off and inspect any of the wheel cylinders, and after putting them back together the brakes still have a problem, so he will be pulling them back apart to look at the cylinders. I didn't know frozen, rusty cylinders were a common problem on boat trailers, but it does make sense. Learning something new all the time when dealing with boats!
