I just spent the better part of 7 hours cleaning our toon and she's lookin pretty good. :nana
I need to know if there is anything special that needs to be done to change a trim motor. Mine is leaking where the wires go into the motor. Does anyone know if the outboard has to be supported to remove and replace the trim motor? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Ernie

Once the motor is trimmed up, there should be a lock to keep it in the up position.

Good luck on that one.

On my last pontoon, I never had to touch the power trim in 27 years. It's honestly a subject I know absolutely nothing about on outboads. I do recommend anyone that's going to have an engine for the truly long term should invest in a repair manual that'll address such issues.
