The lower cowling cracked on my e-tec 90hp motor. It is a 2006 motor so I am way past the warranty.

the parts cost $800 dollars for two pieces of plastic. the material is similar to a plastic car bumper.

Any suggestions on how to fix? I am thinking about trying Plast-aid glue.

thanks

I got one of the screws cross threaded right and it broke a chunk out. as there is nothing in there to get hurt I am not worried, however I would fix the crack on inside using some epoxy and glass mat.

That top rear screw is a bitch to remove. no room for a socket. I used a 1/4" drive with jointed socket and still damn near impossible. finally used a pair of needle pliers after it was loose
