Pontoon Boat mirror made by PTM Edge

#1 Post by robster » Sun May 11, 2014 5:23 am

Howdy- I posted a while back (May 01,2011) about the PTM Edge pontoon mirror I bought for our Manitou, well after looking at the PTM Edge website recently I noticed they had a upgraded pontoon mirror , I contacted PTM Edge to see if I could upgrade my old mirror to the new PRO model and the wonderful folks there said sure! ..ship your old mirror to us and we will send you a brand new upgraded Pro model for only $60 shipped...it's a $299 mirror. That's what happened now we have the PTM Edge Pro mirror on our boat and it's FANTASTIC!, great panoramic view, stays in place, no vibration ,crystal clear and sharp because it has prescription grade glass, looks awesome and will be wonderful for water sports I won't need to keep swiveling my seat backwards to look behind me. Here's the web site for PTM Edge, they have two models for pontoons the PXR-100 and the PXR-100 Pro, we have the PXR-100 Pro and they offer two mount options. I'm not a shilll for PTM Edge , just a very happy customer. http://www.ptmedge.com/pontoon-mirrors/

robster,

Ask them for a commission. I just ordered one through Amazon. Thanks for the "Heads Up" on this valuable item. I hate to pay the price. But, It gets super congested going through the congested "Miserable Mile" on the Caloosahatchee river. If I boated on a inland "pond" I wouldn't need it.

Good to hear Rascal, you will be very pleased with the mirror. yep it's a pricey mirror but it does the job like no other that I could find.

:lol3 My thoughts exactly.....great looking mirror but vastly over priced. They would sell a ton of these if they were $100-$150 bucks....

I agree... I considered buying one when I was looking for a "good" pontoon mirror a year or so back.. but I just couldn't talk myself into spending 300 bucks for a mirror... not denying that the mirror is beautiful and Im sure does a great job, but it all goes back to that "cost" thing for me...

I'm so used to having my seat face the port side of the boat, that it's like second nature anymore. If I need to see someone on the knee board or tube, I turn my head to the left. If I need to see ahead, turn to the right. We always have several on board with us too, so no need for a mirror here.

Those do look really nice, but a bit high for my taste.
