Has anyoner had trouble with JJV's best pontoon cleaner. I used it on Saturday to clean my toons and they look worse then before I started. I followed the instructions and watched the video several times before starting so I know we did it right. Heres what it looks like after cleaning! Any suggestions?

I used JJ's Best two years ago, it splattered on my anodized aluminum and left spots on the anodized trim, no where on the instructions at that time did JJ's Best put in the instructions to keep it off anodized aluminum. I learned that the hard way,plus it left streaks on my toons that eventually went away after the toons oxidized after several months. I called JJ's Best and complained about no warning in the instructions on the bottle about keeping it off anodized aluminum and they sent me a $160,00 refund check, I bought 4 gallons. JJ's best said they would update their instruction label, if they didn't be sure to keep it off anodized trim. I did follow JJ's instructions about how to remove the streaks and nothing worked. So after our toons oxidized the streaks went away over time. We now use acid wash every Spring. Our boat sits in a wet slip year round.If you call JJ's best be sure to talk with the owners. JJ's Best did a very good job of removing the scum,algae off our toons but left streaks,I too watched the video several times. You might want to email your photos to JJ's Best and then call them. Use acid based cleaners and follow it up with a good metal or aluminum polish. NAPA has a good cleaner.

And I'm not talking about Mothers aluminum polish--inferior stuff.

I sent the pictures to the manufacturer and they won't even respond. Now I have to figure out how to fix thier mess. So much for customer service!

I had the same problem when I emailed JJ's Best with my photos of streaks and anodized aluminum damage and they didn't respond. But when I called they were helpful,that's how I got a refund, plus I told them I posted a negative review here on PB Forum,be sure to call them and ask for the owners other wise you will get some Jack Leg that won't be any help,I think they own a marina and different jack legs answer the phone.. I don't remember the owners names,sorry.

JJ's best will empty your wallet and mess up your aluminum. Snake oil.

Just a follow up on this thread. I never did get a call back from JJV's best but on the advice from a local marina I used plain old Vinager and Scotch bright pads and my toons look much better. It took a little elbow grease but the difference is amazing. I plan to Sharkhide them in the next couple of weeks to keep them looking nice now.
