Who makes a good captain chair pedestal that slides?

I bought one of these and it is low quality. Even with the swivel knob tightened down, the chair rocks because there is so much slop.

I would not buy a DeckMate one ever again.

That is suprising.... Lakerunner bought one and I am pretty sure he loves his???

I'm sorry for the low quality on this product. When did you place your order? We have actually made some recent improvements and if it's okay with you I'd like to refund you your money and send you a replacement no charge.

I just tested one and it's a tight fit with no slop. Either way I'd love your feedback if I could send you a new one, if we need to make improvements we will definitely do so! Nothing worse than shody product and I will always make the necessary changes.

I know this is irrelevant but I had a power sliding seat on my Mariah Ski Boat. It was freaking awesome. Cause I'm long legged and wifey is small. Would love to have one on the benny.

Mine has some slop in it, too. Its factory from Premier. But I sure do like it. Even with the slop in it. If I get pulled over for looking tipsy, I can blame the seat!

I'm new here so I'm going to burn my first post in praise of the excellent Customer Service I just read concerning DeckMate products. Every manufacturer can have a dud once in a while that slips past QC or just doesn't work the way it was intended.

Mr. Myers offer to replace AND refund far exceeds any expectations for your average business deal and I know I'll now look at DeckMate products with a different perspective. (and no, I am not in any way affiliated with DeckMate, just another boater who happens to buy too many things to make life on the water better)... Carry on.

Now that is service. Seems to be a lost art anymore, Good to see someone step and do what is right. Hope I will not need anything any time soon but I know who to contact If I do now. DECKMATE.

I've had good luck with the seat base. I'm actually in process right now of trying to exchange my non-sliding base with a sliding base. I was told to check back tomorrow, so hopefully they'll be available when I head up that direction to get some other local parts
