Great bunch on here!! I started the pontoons and toddler thread. It was always a stress for me boating with or 16month boy. I found it was far too much work and money. We sold out pontoon last week. Listed it sunday and it was gone on Tuesday. Although I will miss it the extra $$$ will be nice for more family time. We have already purchased a bike for my wife so we can all bike together. I find that hiking, biking, skiing are so much more fulfilling right now. Our little guy us an angel but he needs to run. It was hard cooping him up on a boat for a few hours.

We will be back in a few years I am sure!

Will be back for sure one day. We have lots of lakes just a few minutes from our door. Priorities change in life, especially after having a baby.

I remember when I found out I was going to be a dad. It was 5 years ago and I told my brother that maybe now I can get a pontoon boat. Crazy as it sounds it was like a reason to get one "for the family" I had wanted one for quite a while. I now have 2 kids a 2 and 5 year old and they both love boating . You'll be back soon. We have nice mountain bikes that sit in the shed while we go boating l.o.l.

Just make sure your son knows he's healthy, happy and well loved.

Teach him by instruction and by example.

Know that you don't have to be a Perfect Parent, you just have to Do Your Best as a Parent, remembering that PARENTING is a Verb.

Beyond that, I'd bet you'll be welcomed back here any time you decide to toon again.

We will be back in a few years for sure. I found the hiking/biking ect were more enjoyable at this time. And I like trying to get into shape lol. Little man is good as gold when I am towing him in his bike trailer.

He definitely knows he is loved! No worries there. Thats the entire reason we sold the boat. Its not that we couldn't boat with him. Its just that there are better suited activities we can do as a family. Out boat was paid for so the cash in hand is nice too.

Even if you sold out (lol!), you are doing what you think best for your family and that's always a good thing.
You live in a beautiful place and being outdoors and away from all the electronic baby sitters can't be all bad.
Hope to see you back on here someday.

Very true. Kids are so impressionable at this age. I really want him to appreciate the outdoors, being healthy ect. I am not going to far from the water. I purchased a kayak this year with my dad. We are also taking sailing lessons next month!

And thanks it is very beautiful here.
