So we picked up the 2014 Sweetwater Premium 220 SL today and so far so good! Yes we will post pictures tomorrow once we got out on the water! The boat is loaded with tritoons, lifting strakes and a Yamaha 150 hp engine. So the stats are the following:
6000 rpm = 42 mph and we maxed out at this speed
3000-4000 rpm = average cruising according to the dealer and we averaged around 20-22 mph
42 seems like it's pretty fast but what's weird it did not seem like we were actually going that fast.
Tomorrow I wonder if we trim up a little if it will gives a little more speed.
Took delivery on the toon today and the results are in.....

I meant speedometer

If it is the older pitot type speedometer they are notoriously inaccurate. A GPS device is very accurate. Which type do you have?Douglas4315 wrote:I meant speedometer
At any rate, 42 mph is good imho.
