I am getting ready to mount my grill. I have seen most grills are mounted at the rear of the toon. Don't you worry about fumes from the gas tank. All the toons tank is at the rear. Fumes and flame don't go while. Just asking. My grill connects to a regular propane tank I purchased a pedestal stand for it now wound erring whereto mount it. Rear or front. Would work better in the rear but I worry about the fumes from the gas tank. Reason for my question. Thanks guys

I have my grill pedestal mounted on a stern corner. My gas tank is permanently mounted below deck in the extended transom. With the tank not being totally contained, and the abundant ventilation, fumes don't accumulate, so ignition is not a concern for me.

I've got mine in the front for the very reasons you sight. Plus, that's the end on the beach usually so there's no running from the back of the boat to the front to get the food out.
