After going on multiple poker runs and river runs, Raft ups etc. I finally purchased adequately sized boat bumpers. Picked up some 8.5" X 27" bumpers. What size does everyone on here use?

People with fancy fiberglass boats with expensive paint jobs also want you to have covers on your fenders. Like these:

A lot of fancy boats won't let a pontoon tie up no matter how many covered fenders you have. I don't have a problem with that. The wave deflectors on my nosecones could do a lot of damage in a hurry 1) while idling together and tying up 2) if I was not properly tied up 3) if a large wake hit unexpectedly and 4) if we got caught in a storm.

Has anyone tried these? They are specific to pontoons I believe.

I have used those....the one thing I didn't like was having to remove them when underway.
They will NOT stay in place with water splashing up on them.
If you don't mind putting them on and taking them off everytime you use the boat, they work great.

I use em on the front. I LOVE em.
I leave em in place and with them hooked up under the deck rim, they stay in place and I've had no problems with them.
I haven't tried them on the sides as I have some of the 6.5 x 18's there.
But when I found those "Pontoon" Fenders, they solved a problem with the boat sitting in the slip as it scrubbed off two of the cover snaps.
No more worries with that.

We use 8.5 by 27 s. Would use bigger if we're not such a pain to store.

I am considering buying one of those stainless storage racks the big boats use to put on the back deck. Maybe some sort of quick release to pull it off when its stored. Has anyone found a good place to mount a storage rack for their bumpers on their pontoon?
