Putting my home made tow bar - and my boat - to the test!

July 4th was a great day on the water... Despite huge waves, and feeling like we were boating in a toilet - a kajillon boats were on the water... even had a time where waves came over the bow and into the boat.... we had a great time. I got two calls from friends - needing boats towed. As prior posted, my ski tow bar is home made, and self installed. Well, I couldn't just leave them stranded, so each time, i hooked up, and towed them through this rough water mess, to their home docks...... These pics were taken during the periods of calm water... I didn't want people standing up, moving around, while towing in rough water. I thought that any moment, my tow bar was going to get ripped off the back... I'm quite proud of my boat, and quite proud of my tow bar! I guess the tow bar is ready to pull some stumps!

Looks good! A true boater never leaves a stranded boater unattended. I broke down in the Lake of the Ozarks last year and had hundreds of boats just fly by. Drivers looking straight forward like they never saw us. Pricks! As I getting ready to jump in to save the boat from the rocks on the shore, a girl in her Crownline stopped and pretty much saved the boat from being torn up badly. Bless her!
In my years I have towed in several boats, or assisted until appropriate help arrived. It may ruin part of your plans for the day, but in your heart, you know you did a good deed. And if you passengers bitch about you stopping... Threaten to kick them overboard and ask to see who's gonna stop to pick them up!
You are a good guy! Thanks for being there when needed!
We all need to watch out for each other when we are wet! I think that everyone here does a great job! Pontooners are true boaters! A breed of our own!
Need any more EzFenders? I'ld like to send you some for free for being a stand up pontooner!
