Kneeboarding

Does anyone kneeboard behind their tritoons? We got out on lake whitney yesterday and pulled kneeboarders and tubers and we could not believe how choppy the water was behind the boot. Is there anyway to fix this? Longer rope or maybe shorter rope? This was our first time being pulled behind something other than a normal v hull, so maybe it's normal?
Thanks

i kneeboard behind our triton. It helps to trim the Lower unit up or down a bit to reduce the wake wash. But over all you have a much bigger wash behind the toons compared to v hull at higher speeds. I use a longer rope.

I figured a longer rope might help. Wanted to.get confirmation before i tried it though.

My son and I kneeboard quite frequently, haven't moved up to a wakeboard yet. Just use a longer rope and enjoy the wakes as you criss cross back and forth from one side to another. You can even catch a little air if you try. Just watch the landings though, can be a little hurtful!
