Looks simple to make, but I would make it out of steel. Not a fan of PVC for uses like this and tents. The tarp looks cheap also.

Great idea though.

been using similar for a couple of years now, built it my self out of 1" square tubing.except it set on pontoon deck.just pull tarp over and bungee cord to trailer boat stays dry and ready for next trip out. oh yea, carpet is attached to corners and bottom feet to keep from tearing tarp and no rust on flooring.

I have a set of PVC pipes I put together to support my cover during the off season. Basically its 5 ribs of curved 3/4" pipe with connecting pieces along the spine. Makes the boat look sort of like a conestoga wagon when stored in the back yard. The pipes come into a 1 1/2" tee that has a slice cut out of it so it will snap over the pontoon sides.

Don't have any pictures available at the moment to explain in better detail how I support my cover, but PVC pipe and fittings were cheaper and more effective than other solutions. No pooling at all last year (previous years I had trouble and had to add structure), and also stood up to 3" of snow we got in Atlanta last winter.
