Anybody seen this before?? Not sure if its just my usuall bad luck following me or maybe this one was made Friday afternoon or first thing Monday morning.... either way it really put a damper on 2nd trip out with a brand new boat....
You can see that both side snapped where the the bolt went through.... I know this style is very common on alot of boats.... If this is the type you have... you might want to give this area a 2nd look from time to time ...maybe you can prevent a failure ...

Yep happened to me.

I spliced the two pieces back together with square steel piece and wrapped the "ugliness" with aluminum cladding. Stronger then new and cant be noticed unless I point it out. I now have guy wires from the front rails to the Bimini to relieve a lot of stress from the aluminum tubing when at speed.

Nice repair !!!!
I'm working through the warranty process.... however i'm really leaning towards having a traditional stainless steel tube style bimini made.... I had that type on my last go fast boat and ran 75+ mph at times and never once had an issue.... this one failed at 15mph comming out of the harbor.... Couldn't beleive it...
