Yeah, I think the Titanic's rule of "enough for half" no longer applies.

One PFD for each person on board PLUS 1 throwable flotation device.

And they have to be the correct size for each person on board.

Is this even a serious question? Shouldn't even need to be a law that every soul on board a boat has access to a quality and well fitted life preserver... Also don't overload your boat either...

Yep, everyone should be wearing a Coast Guard approved vest sized to fit. Always. Always. We had another person drown this past weekend on our lake. Thats 5 so far this year. None of them were not wearning a PFD. :donno :donno

Depends on how many of your friends and family you don't mind watching die.

15 is a lot of folks. My Bennington is placarded for 13 and it's 27' long. DO NOT overload your boat. If you had to ask the question about PFD's, maybe you better take a Coast Guard approved boater safety course.
I see boats over capacity all the time and it's damn scary to think what might happen in rough water, a sudden storm, etc.

Welcome to the forum Samson,

As others have stated. one for each person and they must each fit. Also need a throwable PFD (different than a vest)

My wife and I each have a nice vest and we bought a couple of those cheap "4 pack" life vest kits and hope they never have to be used.

Welcome
15 people sound like a lot unless you have a tritoon. I know there is no way I would in the devil I would have 15 people on my toon at one time. that's a lot of people to be responsible for, and X2 if they are kids under 12.
Plus you need to consider weight for 15 people, you will set really low in the water, granted pontoons don't sink that easy, but they will nose dive under water faster than you think. and with 15 people your front end in going to be heavy and low, a quick storm or wind will turn your nice day on the lake into a Nightmare,
Look at your capacity sticker on your boat should be by the console and see what it say's then run the number of what 15 people will weight, bet your going to be way over,

And in Texas a Game Warden will have a field day with a boat loaded that heavy,
