Trolling motor placement

I was really thinking about buying a trolling motor with mount for the bow, but it takes up to much space. I know minn Kota sells one that attaches to the outboard plate. Not really an option. Any other ideas for mounting it somewhere other than bow? Also anyone have any ideas to make or buy guide ons for a pontoon trailer? I do not want to pay a crap load of money.

If you want a guide on system that works and works in wind or rough water. Look into the 4c innovention a number of guys have it on this forum. I purchased mine this year cost a little over 300.00 but is while worth it. Should be on all pontoon boat trailers when purchased.

As for the trolling motor mount. They make one that you can pull it straight up. That is what I had on mine. They also make one with a quick release that allowes you to remove it when not in use very easy.

That under the deck mount looks like it might be just what I was looking for. Got a link to it? I can find pictures but no link. I'll post it if I find it first.
