How do they work in windy areas, My lake has heavy winds mostly in the afternoon, sometimes 30-40 gusts. I put the nose of my toon into the sand an tie it down with ropes on 4 corners, now I have a leak in the starboard toon, with the wind causes it to rub in the sand??

I have the Sea legs on a tri-toon and have had some strong winds and it hasn't affected it. How deep is the water where you will store it, I would think the lower you keep it stored the better. Here is a picture raised all the way up which is 6' from the deck and one with it lower.

do you have a ballpark price?? mine is a 2 toon 22ft.
the water is from one to 3 feet deep from one sloping out to 3.
I would not be storing it long term, just while I am camped on the shore sometimes up to 2 weeks.
I just need something to keep the nose of the toons from rubing into the sand for the time I am camped there.

I was kind of wondering how they do work on sloped bottoms. Do the legs adjust independently so you can keep the boat level or does the boat slant with the bottom? I know Premier offers them as an option, they sell quite a few, too.

My Tri-toon has 4 independent legs that operate each by themselves or all together. The two tube legs are attached together at the bottom so you can only operate the front and back by themselves. I think the two tube Legs are around $5000.00 installed, you would need to get an estimate prices vary by dealer.

Can you toss out a rear anchor and just tie in close enough to not be on anything that will damage the tubes? That seems to be a lot cheaper solution. A box anchor only needs one to two times rode line so it wouldn't need to be out there all that far behind compared to conventional anchors that need at least 3 times the rode line. Plus those box anchors really hold but come loose when you get over them and pull up. We tie a red bouy to our anchors when we think someone might be walking around where they are sunk so no one gets hurt.

I have been thinking along that line, but we get alot of wind, the wind sufers are there in the afternoon, I usally quit fishing about noon as it is too windy to troll. I put the nose on the sand shore & I have 4 stakes into the ground and tie all four corners to keep it secure during the wind.

I have had sea legs for 5 years... work great totally satisfied.

I use them as my boat lift, boat sits on them from spring to fall in water.... no problem

Yep, love mine too! It's the 2nd boat I've put them on and use it for my lift for the summer at our dock. Wouldn't have a pontoon without them now. They've been through a few pretty bad storms and the boat hasn't budged.
