Does anyone know where I can buy these "splash guards"? My carpet billows up and water runs down the deck.

You need underskinning.

Those splash guards look like a tacked on after thought; and likely don't do a very good job. Applying a thin under skin to fully protect the deck is the way to go...

My boat has factory installed splash guards identical to yours, but they appear to be only on every other cross member (below plywood joints?) and are also used to route wiring. I'm going to a full aluminum underskin next month. You might be able to make a similar splash guard from aluminum material from Lowes or HD.

Something else to question here is you say that your carpet is billowing and you have water downing down the deck.... Do you know this boats history? Billowing carpet means that the carpet is no longer glued down and it also sounds as though the sealing material that is placed between where the plywood edges meet is no longer effective and/or not there. Also just looking at the pictures that wood looks pretty fresh and yellow like regular building grade not marine or pressure treated...

If you're worried about the water that seeps in at the seam, just run a heavy bead of silicone down the crossmembers that leak.

The boat is a '99 24' Lowe Suncruiser. I stripped it down and recarpeted 2 years ago. The plywood is original. I tried some cheap plastic strips earlier this week but the spray pulled it away from the screws. My next attempt will be schedule 40 4" PVC pipe ripped in to quarters. Oh by the way I did try calking (or construction adhesive) too. I am recovering from recent surgery so I move around like a sloth in slow motion. That and the boat is on a lift so I have to wade around under it. I just bought a new Suzuki 90HP 4 stroke this season and I am not keen on asking the wife for under-skinning funds at least not until I am recovered enough to defend myself.

Aluminum flashing from Lowes or Home Depot. Attach to deck and rib just like the plastic original. Easy to cut and shape.

I tried roofing sealant and the water just beat the crap out of till it was no longer there.

I had a similar problem with my '99 Lowe except my carpet didn't bellow up. I removed the splash guards on the cross members with seams and laid down a line of 3M Marine Adhesive 5200. I then reinstalled the splash guards by adjusting them left or right to avoid putting the screws into the same holes in the wood. Now, all the water on my deck comes from little kids. Cheap and easy fix.

Just remember that 3M 5200 is a permanent adhesive sealant and is not a caulk. It's used to attach upper and lower fiberglass hulls, to give you an idea how permanent and strong it can be. It can also be messy to use so wear gloves. If you want to be able to separate the parts at some point, try 3M 4000/4200 instead. If you need permanent bonding, for marine use 5200 can't be beat.

I am looking for a source for this also and while I agree with the responses that under-skinning is the better option. I need the piece to solve another issue with my jeep, this is an exact fit to solve a horrible wind noise and whistle with 50" LED light bars. This piece slips in the cooling finds and deflects the air perfectly an I would like to find a source for this material. Any help would be appreciated.
