Score one for Tracker customer service...

Well the dealer that is. Made me glad I didn't buy from Bass Pro Shops like my Party Cruiser otherwise they'd have my boat all summer over this. We were out on the river 2 weekends ago and Cheryl heard bubbling around the port side pontoon log nose cone. Took a closer look and it was farting air every few seconds at the keel weld.

Got home, opened an access plug, only about a quart of water was in the log. Reverse the shop vac, squirted some soapy water around every weld I could see and found one spot where it looked like the welder "missed".

I have Tracker's warranty card, so I called the number and she contacted my dealer as soon as I hung up Literally 10 minutes later, the owner of the dealership calls saying there's a local welder he uses a few miles from my house.

I researched the guy to make sure he was someone I wanted touching my boat. Turns out he is a neighbor of a friend of mine and has a contract with Boat US to fabricate all of their work.

He said to drop it off early as possible Thursday and he'd do it first thing. It was finished by 9:AM. Since the welder was near our favorite crab shack, I was obligated to stop and eat many, many crabs. All worked out great and the boat's no longer farting.:thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup

The best, especially Maryland crabs, lol. And they are steamed. Boiling Maryland crabs is blasphemy. :rofl :rofl

Glad to hear you got your fart fixed.

Being from the South, everyone has Shrimp Boils. We used to boil our crab legs till I tried steaming them one day. Now that's the only way we have them. Just keeps all the natural flavors in instead of boiling them all away. We now make it a tradition to have steamed crab legs at the lake for New Years. And every time I watch "Deadliest Catch" and they are bringing up pots of snow crab (they call them Opilio), I just drool and think of how much butter I'd need to eat every crab leg in that pot.

I steam all seafood now, even fish fillets when I'm already steaming crabs. Lay the fillets on top of the crabs and the fish absorbs the Old Bay and beer :drool :drool :drool

Might have to try that sometime. I usually prefer to have my crappie filets fried -- goes great with fried taters. We've baked some filets occasionally -- when the Admiral tries to make me eat a little healthier. :lol3

The only thing better than a Chesapeake Blue crab is a soft shell one.

Can you get the seasoning in em by steaming? We boil crawfish, shrimp and crabs with a lot of seasoning, red pepper salt and garlic and such. Not long and let em soak a bit to absorb the seasoning. Not to hot mind, you but well seasoned and tasty.

Man i'm hungry now! Gotta go get some crab and stuff! :smoke

That's a good pic! BMR I can almost taste the crab! :thumbsup

When I steam seafood, I use beer. No water at all. Coat the shellfish with Old Bay or JO seasoning. Crabs, clams, even fish fillets, the spice soaks right in. The beer idea was my Dad's, he always steamed crabs in beer. :drool

OK I try to keep an open mind and have nothing against beer! I'll try it and let you know. maybe you can teach an old dog new tricks.....especially if you bribe him with beer! :biggrin2
