deck warranty question

#1 Post by dhsofficer » Wed Sep 10, 2014 9:24 am

Will installing a BBQ pedestal on my deck void my warranty?
I recently purchased a new Bentley and want to install a BBQ pedestal. But I'm not sure how drilling holes will effect my deck warranty.
Any thoughts?

Wow, purty boat!!! :thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup I wouldn't think drilling a couple holes in the deck would void a new warranty, but I bought my boat used. So I'm sure some of the new Bentley owners will pine in.

First off I would put a portable Grill hanging over the side towards the bow away from Gasoline. just me !
There are threads about such stuff hanging around here somewhere.

Second, It may or may not void warranty but holes in the floor isn't going to help the wood at all. unless that beautiful boat has aluminum decking.

Crawl under your toon lately? Lots and lots of screws poking through on most any brand....

Mine are covered on top by vinyl and underneath by aluminum skin, Holes thru all of that will surely leak a little but I may worry too much. a portable over the side seems safer and better in my mind.

Sharp looking boat....we just bought a new 24' Bentley tri-toon in the same color.

You might try giving Bentley a call at 803-520-5280 and ask them if it will void your warranty. I called them more than a few times while they were building our boat and they were always very helpful in answering all of my questions.
