Really nice boat! It's amazing how level that sits in the water with that big 225 hanging off the back. I still love the "built-in" steps on the back of the Playcraft boats.

My friend is 69 years old. The steps were a major reason why he chose Playcraft.

At 69 years old and with a 225hp motor – he must be an adrenalin junky! :thumbsup :thumbsup

Should be 50 plus when done. Need to lift motor up higher. Only running 48 plus now @5800rpm with 17" Enertia.
Got 600 more rpm left. Verado's are great but they are 130lbs plus more than most motors.

With the Verado it's like driving a Lexus.

Nice looking package! Has he had any thoughts on a jackplate? Bobs has a new HD that will take the extra weight of the Verado. Its on my bucket list after I recover from building the new garage.

No-he's more interested in an ECU upgrade to what you have.
My new boats coming in tomorrow. Playcraft Daytona 22 with a Bob's jackplate Mercury Pro XS 250hp running a Enertia 22. Should be a 60 mph rig.

Is that a race boat disguised as a pontoon or a pontoon disguised as a race boat? :bowdown

I highly recommend it! After testing it with pre-tune prop, I gained about 800 rpms. After re-propping, I gained 7 mph on the top end, the fuel consumption at midrange and WOT improved and the low end torque really improved. My next project is alittle sheet metal work on the underskinning and a Bobs 8" Extreme jackplate. As far as spending $850 for a 91 HP gain (prop dyno on 93 octane) it was worth it.

I was alos going with it on my 250 but decided to just buy the 300. I dont think it would be worth it on a 300. 15 HP would not equate to even 1 MPH gain LOL.
