I am trying to replace my steering wheel with an aftermarket "Destroyer type" wheel. I removed the 3/4" bolt on the wheel, but I cant get it to budge off. Here is a photo.

Spray some WD 40 in there and let it sit, then put the nut back on, have someone hold pressure on wheel and hit the nut with a hammer

+ 1, normally a light tap and its lose. When i did my rebuild i also looked at the destroyer wheels and found a smoking deal on this one.

Be careful don't hit too hard to mess up the steering box! but do soak it well and you might try a gear puller!

Be sure and put anti-seize on the new wheel !

Gear puller wouldn't be feasible on mine. The only thing to pull was plastic. Herb has it right above. Thread the nut on to protect the threads then give the nut a moderate whack with a hammer while pulling out on the wheel. It should pop loose. I was able to do it by myself.
